I noticed in the new poultry nz standards there is a "Chamois" Sebright shown. Does anyone know how to create this coloured Sebright please? Or if there are any available in New Zealand?

Re: Silver Hamburg?
thanks Kracka, I wondered if it was cross bred too, the SSH doesn't normally have a dropped wing, so I think it was just like that when I took the pic, I've had a close look and can't see any side sprigs, I haven't shown him at all due to the fact that when I got him he has some kind of gugling resp...

Re: Dogs, hens and the law
we have 3 cats, and all leave the chickens alone, I make sure they are very very well fed first thing in the morning and have top ups of biscuits throughout the day, and the only time they have been anywhere near the new chickens which are out with their mum free ranging is if the mother leaves them...

the Illustrated Book of Poultry by Lewis Wright
this is a fantastic book and contrary to popular belief you do not have to pay $3,000 for it here or anywhere else, simply download it to your desktop as I have done, it's awesome, most fascinating thing I find about it is how they created the breeds of poultry back in the day, it's very very intere...

Re: Eprinex for chickens
that's intersting about the feathers twisting Kracka, I will keep an eye out for that as I have been putting the drops anywhere on their back or on the back of their necks inthe dark and with a torch like you do. I'm having a bit of an issue trying to totally eradicate these little baby lice, i thou...
