Marina is right - you do need to keep them with smaller chickens if you are going to do that, mine were Sebrights, Slver spangled Hamburgs, gold pencilled hamburgs and Araucanas mixed with the quail, mine were the red mutant quail and Californian quail varieties.

Hi - I have actually hatchen both chickens and quail out and kept them together very successfully from the start.
