Some tips for introducing yourself

Post by Lindeggs »

It's wonderful to see so many new members on these forums. Poultry Central is growing in leaps and bounds and we love to meet new members and hear about everyone's poultry-keeping experiences. We also love to help with tips and advice where we can. :)

There are a couple of things you can do to help us get to know you better, and let us help more effectively when you need it:

  • Use this part of the forum for introductions only. If you have a tricky question it's better to ask it in a more specific part of the forum like Beginners Roost or Treatment and Prevention or General Chicken Keeping. This also makes it easier for other people with the same question to find it later.
  • Add your location to your profile. This helps us understand your local conditions better (e.g. climate, availablility of certain products, etc).
To do this go to the User Control Panel at the top left of the page, then select the Profile tab. You will see Edit Profile at the top of the list, and a space lower down where you can add your location.

Whether you're an experienced poultry keeper or a newbie on a steep learning curve, welcome along and we look forward to getting to know you. :D
